My professional and research activities include medicine, primary healthcare, epidemiology, diabetes, cardiology, neurology, cerebrovascular diseases, SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19, HIV/AIDS & other (re)emerging infectious diseases, population & gender issues, food security, health & environmental issues, mining & mining-related matters, biochemistry and related sciences, etc. My interest is also in the application of information technology in health, environment, administration & development for the future.
